The practice has adopted a policy of refusing to offer any further NHS appointments if:
- A new NHS patient fails to attend their initial consultation appointment.
- An existing patient at the practice fails to attend two appointments (not necessarily consecutive) over a two-year period. This two-year period begins from the date the first appointment was missed.
If attendance is so late that it causes the appointment to be rebooked, this will also be classed as a failed attendance.
Two appointments are cancelled at short notice (not necessarily consecutive). At least 24 hours’ notice is required, please.
