Emergency Dental Appointments

Dental emergencies can happen at any time — from sudden toothache to a broken tooth — and we know how stressful they can be. At Turncroft Dental Practice, we offer same-day emergency appointments whenever possible to help you get out of pain and back to normal quickly.

When to Book an Emergency Dentist

You should contact us immediately if you experience:

  • Severe or persistent toothache
  • Broken, cracked, or knocked-out teeth
  • Facial swelling or signs of infection
  • Lost fillings, crowns, or dentures causing discomfort
  • Bleeding that doesn’t stop after an extraction
  • Any dental injury or trauma

Even if you’re unsure whether your problem is urgent, it’s always best to call so our team can advise on the next steps.

What to Expect from Your Appointment

Our priority is to relieve your pain and stabilise the problem. Your emergency dentist will:

  1. Assess your symptoms and examine the affected area
  2. Provide treatment to reduce pain and prevent the issue from worsening
  3. Discuss any further care you might need for a long-term solution

Please note: in some cases, follow-up appointments may be required to complete your treatment.

How to Book

If you have a dental emergency, call our practice as early in the day as possible. This gives us the best chance of offering you a same-day slot.

If you have an urgent dental problem outside our opening hours, you can call NHS 111 for advice and to be directed to an out-of-hours dentist if needed.
